Paychex raises dividend 10.53% --- New yield is 3.52%

Today PAYX announced that it is raising its quarterly dividend from $.38 to $.42. This represents a 10.53% increase and the new yield will be 3.53%

The ex-dividend date is July 30 and the pay date is August 20th.

I currently own 93.64 shares so my yearly dividends will increase by $14.98.

This is another solid raise for PAYX and follows an 8.57% raise last year. My only regret is that I don't own more shares. :-)

Thanks buddy! I'll take them large or small. I wish I had more shares

  3. Nice increase from PAYX. Eventually I want to own either PAYX or ADP or both but ADP is pretty expensive right now. Well, the last time I looked at them. I'm hoping to get another look in the coming weeks but both companies should benefit from a interest rate hike from the Fed so they can earn more on the float they get.

    1. PIP,

ADP would be nice to own as well. I probably will stick with PAYX just because I could literally own 100 or more companies and that would be too cumbersome. Also you are correct about the price levels. They alway seem to be trading around 25+ PEs

  4. Great raise from PAYX. Like PIP above, I wish I owned either PAYX or ADP but both seem to be overvalued. Perhaps one day they will look good!

That's a pretty hefty increase in income for not doing any work, awesome

    1. ADD,

The have seemed overvalued forever. I remember buying PAYX a year or so ago with a 25 PE and a 3.3% yield. Now a year later it has risen 20% and the yield is even higher because of the last couple of raises. I will buy more if it drops to the low 40s.

  5. That's a great raise -- congratulations! Nothing like doing nothing and getting paid more for it!

    1. FerdiS,

Thanks so much. Investing in fun necessary, but get more dividend more doing is what it is all about!

  6. That is pretty awesome. I had wanted PAYX or ADP for a while as well, but they are super expensive. Enjoy the raise.

    1. DG,

Yeah, on a PE basis it's a bit scary looking at them. They do perform well however.
